Amélie's influences are multiple and range from pre-Raphaelite painters such as Boecklin or Burne-Jones to the Douanier Rousseau or Sonia Delaunay. Her artist's name "Alie Loizel" recalls the cartoonist Régis Loisel, her first childhood crush. Like a ritual, she creates in her bubble, with the music blasting, before spreading her acrylics and shaping her range of colors. After a pencil sketch, she lets her emotions guide her and gives birth to a new character. She becomes attached to each face and imagines its life, its character and its destiny. Concerned about the future of future generations and the place of gender in society, the artist depicts a colorful spectrum of souls without worrying about their sexual orientation.
