Daria Dmitrieva is an artist trained in the fine arts in Russia, specializing in textile design and tapestry techniques. Her works, often compared to embroideries, are characterized by meticulous attention to detail and nuance. Inspired by nature in all its forms, she seeks to convey emotions of happiness, harmony and tranquility through her creations.

Daria adopts a technique akin to pointillism, using small strokes to capture the ephemeral beauty of landscapes and plants.
Daria, can you tell us about your creative ritual?

I don't have a creative ritual, but I do have a little obsession...

I absolutely must do my paintings with the manicure done. It's very important because when you paint,
it's the first thing you see. For me, it's a bit of an obsession and a routine, so once a week, I have to do my manicure.
week, I have to do my nails.

Do you think the art world looks at women differently?

No, I don't think about that at all.

I think there's so much more to see than comparing, looking, who thinks what,
men, women, who's more important in this world.

If you could share a dinner with any artist (dead or alive),
who would it be and why?

I think that's a very easy question to answer. There are two artists I draw inspiration
from and adore, Monet and Joan Mitchell.

They're my two artists whose abstract, impressionist style I adore and whose colors
          very important to me.
          Do you have a superpower?

Not having a day off. In other words, to work non-stop, that's the superpower!

Because when your work becomes your pleasure, you don't look at the clock, you don't look at time.
          and that's a superpower, I think.

Do you have any advice for the “you” of the past who's taken up painting?

Never give up and always go for it.

A quote you like to end with?

There isn't one in particular that I like, but Claude Monet's quotes are very close to my heart.
like the quote “I may perhaps to the flowers to have being a painter”.
