What drives me above all is creation, regardless of the medium!
Isabelle Seruch Capouillez is the product of a double culture. She was born in France and spent her childhood in Belgium in the region of Mons. Later, it is at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, where she worked as a graphic designer, that she began to spend time in artists' ateliers and truly discovered her passion for watercolour. She has a distinct passion for Flemish and surrealist painting, and develops art work that is inspired, vibrant and allegorical, laid down first in pastel and pencil. Her figurative painting furtively captures faces and bodies in movement in a free style that is spontaneous and liberated from any kind of academicism. Now, Isabelle Seruch Capouillez has acquired great maturity in her work and she combines technical ability with profoundly imaginative work.
The artist influenced by Masters such as Bruegel, Magritte or Delvaux is free in her artwork and refuses to limit herself to one theme, medium or to a single instrument. She is an explorer and can see infinite possibilities in her technique. Watercolour is fascinating in its ability to move water, light and the pigment itself. For her, it transcribes human interiority and the paradox of emotions with intensity. She is self-taught and trusts her ability to flourish in her artwork in random everyday encounters. With great conviction she draws portraits, landscapes and seascapes and experiments with the world in all sincerity and with the freedom of her inner world. Dreams connect here with realism in a rich and collective experience, a generous universe that shares her world of emotions.
