In the journey there is the time of the journey. It's not about seeing quickly. It's seeing and living
at the same time - Marguerite Duras
Born in 1997 in the Paris region, Nicolas Jesbac is a contemporary artist based in Toulouse. With a master's degree in research and contemporary creation from the Sorbonne, he is developing a singular practice based on pixels and color. His universe questions visual perception and the place of the image in a saturated world. Between digital rigor and pictorial sensitivity, he invites us to slow down our gaze and rediscover the beauty of detail.
Nicolas Jesbac's paintings straddle the boundary between the digital and the material. Inspired by the op art of Vasarely or Yvaral, but also by contemporary figures such as Helio Bray or Seaty, he revisits the pixel as a plastic unit. Each square of color becomes a vibration, a note in a global harmony. The artist explores the subjectivity of perception and the emotional power of color, while questioning the overproduction of images in our society. Her deeply sensory approach celebrates the simple pleasure of contemplating and feeling.
