There’s something sacred about the in-between – the quiet moment between two tasks, the pause before the next thing begins. This painting was born out of one of those pauses. A bagel, some ripe cherry tomatoes, a soft avocado. Nothing fancy, just a small act of care. A snack, but also a still moment.

Atypical and prolific German creator, Julia Ulrich wishes above all to depict her imaginary world with sylvan tints and folkloric influences. Naturally, she first merges her passions by turning to a Bachelor of Arts degree and then to a Master of Fine Arts degree. In 2019, she held her first exhibition in Wertheim. Since then, projects follow one another like a group art exhibition in Berlin and her participation in several art fairs. Artist, teacher, housewife, Julia also loves sports and video games, and always dreams her life.
