If all life inevitably comes to an end, we must, during ours, color it with our colors of love and hope. Marc Chagall
A spontaneous, self-taught artist, Evelyne has always loved to draw. She grew up reproducing characters from the "Journal de Mickey", and later took on advertising mannequins as models. With a degree in pharmacy, she explored different drawing techniques in her spare time, including pastel, charcoal and blood pencil. It was when she moved to the Côte d'Azur that she discovered painting, along with the light and inimitable colors of the region. Today, Evelyne still lives in the South of France and devotes herself fully to her passion.
Above all, Evelyne is an artist of beauty and happiness. In her meticulous, colorful figurative style, she sublimates landscapes and characters in her compositions. The artist works in acrylic or oil, using photographs that she reinterprets with precision and sensitivity. Very spontaneous, she tackles a variety of themes, evoking little stories, situations or pleasant feelings in her paintings. She draws her inspiration from the seaside, the beach and places bathed in light. She admires the detail of Ingres' portraits and the calm atmosphere of Renoir's paintings. She also appreciates the settings of Hopper and Jack Vettriano. With her radiant, positive works, Evelyne doesn't seek to convey a message, but to instill emotion, and each of her canvases brings us well-being and serenity.
