Born into a family of artists, Elika DESSAPT naturally saw her vocation for art being born. It was with her father, Guy DESSAPT, also a painter, that she learned the basics of painting. If, for a while, she considered becoming a veterinarian, the young woman realized, during an internship, that this profession was not for her. So she returned to her first love: art. Passionate about manga since her childhood, she also creates, in parallel to painting, mini comics in digital format, which she shares on certain platforms and websites.

Elika's main source of inspiration is her father, Guy DESSAPT. At his side, she learned how to paint and especially, to make a "secret" preparation for the canvas before painting it, and which gives this relief effect that we find on all of Elika's creations. Her paintings, mainly landscapes, are inspired by the world and the elements that surround her or by the photos that her father may have taken throughout his life, and are done in acrylic with remarkable finesse and precision. Through her works, the painter wishes to convey the emotions she feels while painting: nostalgia, peace and joy.
