Medeya Lemdiya
A quote from Picasso : "Are we to paint what's on the face, what's inside the face, or what's behind it?"
Medeya Lemdiya is a bubbling and singular artist. She has been driven by two passions since she was little: sport and art. She's an ever-enthusiastic and proactive allrounder who worked as a sports coach for years without ever sacrificing her creative side. She decided to switch teams in late 2010. Since then she has made a living from her art and devoted her leisure time to sport. Her figurative canvases reflect her. She draws on myriad influences from street art and tattoos to pop art and pop culture to create her energetic and colourful pieces.
Medeya Lemdiya's fiery and powerful painting plays with forms in forms, with the abstract in the figurative art. Her pictorial poetry, a bit wild, is anchored in the heart of its time. Naturally inclined to observe humans, her work deals with the exploration of human nature. The characters, faces, bodies, attitudes, phantasies, myths are the breeding grounds of his inspiration. She wishes to sublimate the emotions of her subjects not only by an attitude, a look... But above all by an explosion of colors as if their states of mind were spread out and organized on the canvas. The result is inspired by Street Art and reorganizes the codes of Pop Art.
