"I lived to paint, I painted to live (...) Every fibre of my being demands me to paint." (Gustave Courbet).
This is the story of a girl from Northern France who fell in love with the South and painting. Anne was already painting when she was 8 and didn't know what her future held. Naturally she went onto study "Decorative Arts" and learnt the basic techniques. She graduated in interior design at the Roubaix Fine Arts School. Anne fell in love with the magic and light of the South whilst exploring Italy's pretty lanes. Seeing her pieces travel around the world gives her immense sense of joy.
She sits in front of her easel when she gets home to Paris from her trips to Italy, Spain and Provence. Anne depicts street scenes taken from the sun-drenched images that warm this optimistic and positive artist's heart. She starts by sketching it in pencil to position the features and set the perspective in place ,then she lets colourful oil or acrylic paint bring her piece to life. There's only one thing running through her mind when she paints: paint with joy.
