Description artwork

This impressionist painting captures a lively scene in front of Lyon's Place Bellecour, with the equestrian statue of Louis XIV in the center. The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière rises majestically on the hill in the background, dominating the horizon. The color palette is rich in autumnal hues, with touches of yellow, orange and red, evoking the warmth of the season. The paint application is dynamic and textured, giving an impression of movement and life to the urban scene. The figures are sketched quickly, suggesting the hustle and bustle of a typical day. The sky is depicted with light blues and white clouds, contrasting peacefully with the activity of the square below.

Arkady
Arkady France
Having always been attracted by creation, Arkady began producing his first self-taught works from 2009 onwards. In parallel, the young painter carried out many work placements with confirmed artists in France and Moldova, with the intention of learning the rudiments of this discipline and perfecting his technique. He would also become the assistant to the painter Grigore Dontu (born in 1965) for four years, during which time he would help create works and sell them at Provencal markets. Wanting to confirm his knowledge and savoir-faire, Arkady enrolled at the Sorbonne University in Paris in September 2014 to follow a dual course dedicated to art and art science. Always armed with his sketchbook, he enjoys walking about town and drawing his sketches: these first drafts would then become a guiding principle for the production of his future canvases.
