A self-taught painter, Sandrine Hirson has always loved to paint and create. With a degree in financial management and human resources, she worked in this field and began painting in the mid-90s. At the time, painting was both a hobby and a way of compensating for an emotional overflow following health problems. In 2001, she held her first solo exhibition, presenting her "Atlantide" series, the starting point for her non-figurative work. Since then, abstraction has become a matter of course for the painter.
Sandrine HIRSON paints by letting her emotions guide her. She doesn't intellectualize her creations, preferring to let herself be carried away by the moment and the mood. The painter draws inspiration from her surroundings, whether nature or life scenes, and creates her own representation. In this way, she creates her own universe and her own vision of the world, which she shares with her viewers. The artist's references and influences include Zao Wouki and Ten Chun, as well as Paul Jenkis' "Oeuvres majeures" exhibition. She uses splaters, knives and various tubes of paint to bring her work to life. Sandrine plays with materials and colors to give the impression of a succession of planes and create different, original universes.
