Agnès Couret develops a singular universe where raw stone meets the delicacy of the animal world. After a career dedicated to music, she turned to mosaics and has been exploring materials with deep sensitivity for the past ten years. Using stone, glass and natural textures, she creates vibrant works that question our relationship with living things and reveal the silent power of animal gazes.
Guided by a spirit of experimentation, Agnès Couret transforms ordinary materials - dry stone, glass, salvaged fragments - into contemporary compositions. Her work focuses on the essential: looking at nature, listening to what it has to offer and creating from the infinitesimal. Influenced by Elena Kirillova in mosaics, as well as Gustav Klimt, she brings tesserae and textures into dialogue to give life to intense animal portraits. Each work becomes a face-to-face encounter: a sincere gaze, a silent presence that reflects our own humanity.
