"We must wrest joy from the passing days. " V. Mayakovsky
éric Stein draws inspiration from influences and artists as wide-ranging as Tapies and Basquiat, Roman art and literature to create his own signature. His canvases often feature words and quotations that aren't supposed to shed light on the subject but instead question audiences and get them thinking about a specific theme. The artist creates conflict to get people interested and thinking about his work. Vague and broken dark rings and lines blend into the colours of each piece, giving a sense of movement, disorder and chaos that éric Stein's work stands out for
From Tapies to Basquiat, through Romanesque art and literature, Eric Stein draws his inspiration from a wide variety of influences and artists to create his own universe. Rings and black lines, imprecise and unstructured, are mixed with the colors of each canvas, creating this impression of movement, disorder and chaos, which characterizes the work of Eric Stein.
