Alexandr Klemens, born in Moscow in 1971, is a painter with a passion for light, color and mystery. Born into an artistic family, he has been painting since 1990, developing a style that blends impressionism, expressionism and symbolism. Also a curator and exhibition organizer, he founded a gallery in Prague in 2006. His works invite contemplation and the discovery of multiple layers of meaning, transforming the everyday into a poetic and intimate experience.
Alexandr Klemens draws his inspiration from nature, human stories and the European pictorial tradition. Fascinated by the Impressionists for their work on light and the Expressionists for their emotional intensity, he infuses his works with a subtle interplay of symbolism and mystery. His technique is based on a spontaneous approach that respects classical compositional principles. Through layers of paint and details revealed on second reading, he invites the viewer on an introspective journey where art becomes a mirror of emotions and dreams.
