By endlessly repeating the same name, MaitreYa reinvents the boundaries of the visible in works that sculpt his thoughts in 3D. The codes of Street Art, combined with the pointillism of his miniature letters, give new life to icons of nature and vanished civilizations, and pay homage to ecological figures, reminding us of the impermanence and fragility of beauty.
In the 90s, he fell in love with graffiti, which combines lettering and drawing. Like the icons of Street Art, he chose a "Blaze", a signature. MaitreYa, a reference to the Bodhisattva of the future gifted with enlightenment, is born and augurs the young man's destiny.
His unique technique, which enables him to achieve a quasi-photographic rendering by reducing his letters to a minimum, working on repetition and superimposing layers with glass, is a key factor in his success.
