A cat in a tree, couples entwined in a village square, a woman helping her husband with his tie. This is the magic of the small everyday moments that Perrine wants to capture with kindness and bonhomie. Her oil paintings are an invitation to travel, full of very colourful yet soothing journeys. Without coquetry, without any sentimentality, she places a maternal perspective on the world around her. A pure and naive vision that touches us with its sincerity. All is quiet in this contained world, full of freshness and poetry. Every being, every couple, every character has its place, if a little weightless. The individual is not lost in the crowd, but appears with all his strangeness, his exceptional and unique facets. \n Perrine's work seems very structured, probably the result of her scientific even mathematical side, and her long history as a graphic designer. After a diploma and degree in physics and scientific materials, she trained in industrial and graphic design. A graduate of the School of Design of the Loire Region in Nantes, she worked for ten years in an office in Paris and the Paris region, including designing graphic illustrations for websites and paper media. She took courses in painting and drawing before installing her workshop in 2004 in Bordeaux and devoting herself fully to this activity as an ‘auto –entrepreneur’. “Despite the doubts it has to come out, in one year I made fifty paintings."" she says. Her series ""High Lives"" revealed her to the public: she scrutinizes, dissects, and observes the daily life of her peers to identify the indescribable. We are surprised by these complex views that resonate like a set of mirrors: everything is sober, rational, clear. A pursuit of happiness organized with serenity.
