Patricia Simsa has always been passionate about art and from a very young age began a multidisciplinary practice as a self-taught artist. Her interest is first in the direction of art. With love and energy, the artist patiently works on the elaboration of her resolutely colored and singular universe, composed of daily scenes which, for the great majority, put in scene blooming with the generous forms.a few years later Simsa starts to decline her subjects in and, progressively, the is going to impose itself as her medium of predilection. By the - which mixes -, the painter conceives multiples that invite the spectator to enter a poetic world, freely and joyfully inspired by the multiple fantasies that our contemporary society contains. Her sculptures are in the same vein as her paintings of lonely women posing on a chair or in an armchair. They let themselves be looked at with complacency but they seem to look at us with the same interest. They are falsely naïve or seemingly indifferent, with the eyes of young ingenues, surprised, enticed and astonished to meet us. Simsa's art is carried by the joy of living, where pleasure rhymes with humor and frivolity, qualities essential to the well-being of each individual. Through her benevolent, intimist and delicate works, skilfully executed, the painter depicts a highly positive humanity.
