This work is born of a contrast that is both visual and symbolic: a deep black background, like a silent night, gives way to the striking whiteness of a wolf in profile. Opposite him, tiny but full of life, is a startled sparrow, frozen in the moment, as it pecks at crumbs on a cold, smooth marble slab. The light vapor of the wolf's breathing floats in the air, creating a palpable, almost sacred tension.
This unlikely face-to-face encounter, on the border between predator and fragility, explores the balance between strength and innocence, calm and the unexpected. The moment is suspended, out of time - as if the world were holding its breath.

Born in Paris in 1985, Clotilde Briand spent the first 12 years of her life in the Sahara. In this cradle of unspoiled nature, she discovered wildlife, a unique atmosphere, light, unexpected encounters with animals, waking up with fennec foxes and bathing with dolphins.
