While still a teenager, Nadine admired the impressionists and pointillism at the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay. Exploring abstraction in landscapes today, nature often inspires her and allows her to recharge her batteries and find calm and balance. To get started, she always begins by creating a harmonious color palette. Working with the softness and blur of watercolor, the artist applies her colors on the canvas, with a knife and by touches. In a game of textures, scrapings and thicknesses of layers, the work comes to life in shades and transparencies. Sometimes a glaze comes to sublimate the whole composition. As a messenger between her subject and her public, Nadine likes to transmit emotions and awaken the imagination. She never titles a painting so that we can appropriate it and name it according to our own feeling.
