An independent painter artist for many years, Stanislav was trained in the techniques of mosaics and mural painting at the University of VelikoTarnova in Bulgaria. Alongside his artistic practice, he led a university painting group in Moldova for a year and held the position of manager of the Lazarovart gallery located in the Bulgarian seaside resort of Lozenets between 2009 and 2016. Furthermore, from his works, he has designed illustrations, which have been used as covers for various books.
Already gifted with much experience in the pictorial field, this fervently passionate artist has not stopped experimenting, always trying to spread and push his capabilities further, both technically and in the way he interprets his subjects. Although he works oils using a relatively classical approach, Stanislav has a bold technique in the practice of collage, sometimes going as far as taking certain elements out of their frame.
The artist’s approach consists of a profoundly contemporary interpretation of subjects taken from traditional painting. But not seeking to consider himself at any cost part of one style in particular, Stanislav designs works that are both abstract and figurative, thus giving his desire and imagination of the moment free rein. Inspired by the sea and old Bulgarian houses, as well as everything that can reach the aspirations of human beings, the painter has been able to develop a highly dynamic personal aesthetic engendered by a voluntary and relatively constant recourse to bright colours, assorted with a generous touch.
