Philippe Euger started painting in 1987 at the age of 20. He was quickly approached by galleries and had his first solo exhibitions. Since then, painting has been an integral part of his life and he has never stopped practising it. 
Philippe Euger has always been attracted by the aesthetics of graphic arts and the emotions they can bring, painting was an obvious and natural path for him.

He is entirely self-taught and has created his own style, which is often immediately recognisable.

 

His colourful, dynamic and eye-catching canvases are made with spray paint and are composed of a subtle mix of collages, posters, graffiti... The creation of his works is well thought out, especially regarding the subject, the general composition and the colours.

They feature icons from popular culture, such as music, film, advertising or comics, combined with various elements of urban art such as graffiti or torn posters. 
For Philippe Euger, art is essential to life. It is a source of pleasure and happiness, a call to escape, to imagine.
