Description artwork

The work "Don Quixote on the line" represents the knight errant riding Rossinante and followed by his faithful squire Sancho Panza. The horizon, placed high on the canvas, is a support line for the two characters who are thus clearly visible in the background. The main focus is on the foreground: a lush vegetation painted with a knife in flats and tears of liquid material that give movement to the motif.

Reymond Pierre
Reymond Pierre France
Set up in his workshop in Chambéry in Savoie department, Pierre has worked to produce his works since 2004. The French literature teacher, who has taught in several high schools in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region for many years, chose to improve his knowledge by enrolling in a course dedicated to computer assisted creative techniques. Upon graduating in 2000, Pierre would integrate the IT service of a large company, which would allow him to earn his stripes in this new skill domain. A keen drawer since he was a child, the artist's attention has turned over the years to oil painting. Performing directly on the canvas support without any sketching beforehand, Pierre interprets the world around him from a multitude of colourful touches, composing his pictorial works "principally with volume, accumulations of volumes and nuances of shades that define at the same time perspective, horizon and motifs".
