At the age of 17, Istraille began learning to draw, before taking up graffiti. Self-taught, he learned graphic techniques on the drawing pad, before extending his art to city walls. He passed the entrance exam for the École Pivaut (applied arts) in Nantes, graduating in 2007. The artist then began a career as a freelance art director and illustrator in Nantes and Saint-Étienne, before moving to Toulouse. At the same time, Istraille continues to develop his personal artistic output.
